Christmas is a wonderful time of year, in the run-up to Christmas Eve our city transforms into a winter wonderland. The lights, the fairground, the shops, the smells, and the sounds of Christmas. It is truly a magical time, for some……

Over the years the Clutha Trust has worked with other charities such as Spirit Aid, helping with their Toy Appeal. We also have had Christmas Day dinners in The Clutha for those who are lonely. We will continue to carry out these important initiatives. And now this year we are launching ‘POWER OVER POVERTY’

The Clutha Trust recognises that not all individuals and families have a magical Christmas indeed for some it is the total opposite. ‘How do I feed the kids?’, ‘What do I get them for Christmas?’ and this year ‘How do I heat our home and keep the lights on?’
We are in the middle of an energy crisis they are telling us – I disagree – we are in the middle of a greed crisis.

This year we have teamed up with the Glasgow Winterfest at George Sq and St Enoch’s Sq. The Clutha Trust will be operating the music stages supplying various musicians and some well-known Glasgow bands to entertain everyone. We will also have the Clutha Choir, The Clutha Kids and much much more. If you would like to play on the Clutha Stage please contact us to express an interest. Email us at

Our aim is to raise a minimum of £50,000 meaning we can help 500 families and individuals with a £100 utility voucher to help them cope over this winter
